Please e-mail me. Be sure to let me know if you need key changes or instrument transpositions. If you don't specify a key, I'll send the charts in the key of the recording.
I can e-mail you Acrobat files (.pdf's) or Finale .mus files (Open with Finale, allegro, PrintMusic, SongWriter or the free Notepad program), or I can mail you hard copies. There are links on the left to the Make Music web site, where you can dowload Acrobat Reader or Finale Notepad free.
You can use PayPal, or mail me a check when you get the music. You can use a credit card through PayPal. As I continue to develop this web site, I'll try to make it easier for you to buy my charts. In the meantime, I'm happy to provide personal service.
If you need parts added to any of these arrangements, just ask. The price per added part is only $10/page for horn parts, $15/page for rhythm parts that include notes and chords, and $20/page for vocal parts that include melody, chords and lyrics. So, if you need a rhythm part, and I don't have it, I'll write it for you. If you have four horns, and the catalog says I only have a 3-horn chart, I'll add the part. I can also reduce arrangements at a rate of $5/page.
Most of my 3-horn arrangements are originally written for Trumpet, Tenor and Trombone. In most cases I can transpose Tenor to Alto, and Trombone to Tenor or Bari. Trumpet parts are usually best left to trumpet players. Instrumentation for 4 and 5-horn arrangements are indicated. A "One-Pager" is set up like a grand staff (piano part) with Bb parts on the top line (transposed) and the trombone on the bottom line (see sample). Eb versions are also available.
"1 Rhythm" is a generic rhythm section part. It follows the form of the arrangement, and includes chords, bass lines and other important lines, and drum kicks (see sample). My rhythm section parts vary widely in their level of detail. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the readability of specific rhythm parts. If no rhythm parts are indicated I haven't written one. (see "Added parts")
A "lead sheet" has melody, chords and lyrics. It's just the basic form of a song, not an arrangement. (see sample). A "vocal" part, on the other hand, goes with a specific arrangement. If the instrument list doesn't include a vocal part, I don't have one, even if it's a vocal arrangement. This is because nearly all the bands I've written these charts for have vocalists that learn their parts off the records, and nearly all my charts follow the form of the record. If you need a vocal part written, just ask.
Please email me. I'm happy to help.
